Vote for the Best Lobster Appetizer at the Ogunquit Lobster Bite Challenge
New event on May 3 showcases ten Ogunquit-area chefs vying for top honors
Ogunquit, ME, April 2025 – Get ready for a brand-new culinary showdown in Ogunquit! The Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce presents the Ogunquit Lobster Bite Challenge, bringing together top chefs to compete head-to-head for the title of Best Lobster Bite in town. Sample a variety of creative and mouthwatering lobster bites, then cast your vote for People’s Choice, while a panel of expert judges selects their top pick. The winning chef of the judges’ vote will earn a coveted spot in Portland’s Harvest on the Harbor competition.
This culinary adventure will be held on Saturday, May 3, from 2-4pm, in Playhouse Event Tent on the grounds of Ogunquit Playhouse at 10 Main Street in Ogunquit. Participating restaurants include Walker’s Maine, M.C. Perkins Cove, Jonathan’s Ogunquit, Clay Hill Farm, Pepper’s Seafood Co./Cape Neddick Lobster Pound, The Front Yard, For the Love of Food & Drink, Surf Point 360 at Anchorage, The Front Porch, and Dunes on the Waterfront. Tickets are $80 per person and include a bite-sized lobster creation from each chef, unlimited wine pairings, and a complimentary entry prosecco.
