Gabby Gathering - Debbie Mueller

Local oil painter Debbie Mueller began hearing comparisons of her work to that of Edward Hopper not long after she started painting in 2016. As she learned more about Hopper, she was struck by the similarities of their geographies, and felt that she was literally painting in his footsteps. She will talk about her unlikely journey as an accidental artist, the benefit of losing a prestigious award, and an inspiring project that brought her to Ogunquit.
