Celebrating Indigenous Peoples Day at OHM

In celebration of Indigenous People’s Day, the Ogunquit Heritage Museum will be showing the Award-winning documentary “We Are The Warriors.” The film is directed by David Camlin and Megan Grumbling. Joanna Weaver joins Camlin and Grumbling in producing it.

The Documentary shows the Wells community’s process as they confront their history and identity, challenging long-held misconceptions about the meanings behind their team’s name.

“We Are The Warriors” follows the work of the town’s Mascot Advisory Committee, revealing the challenges and the painful process of finding a compromise and a new path forward.

“Thought-provoking, insightful” -Portland Press Herald,

“The way Wells handled the situation was admirable.”- David Camlin, director and producer
