SUMMARY:Barn Gallery Talk: David Schneider (sculptor) – 50th Anniversary Ogunqit Art Association Showcase Artist
DESCRIPTION:Join us at Barn Gallery on Thursday\, August 14th (at 6 PM) for a Barn Gallery Talk by our 50th Anniversary Showcase Artist: David Schneider (sculptor).\n\nMeet the artist\, see his work\, learn about his process\, and ask questions.\n\nThese insightful and inspiring Gallery Talks always provide further insight into our exhibitions and give attendees the chance to hear stories + learn tips and tricks from present day juried artist-members of the Ogunquit Art Association\, Maine's Original Artists' Group (est. 1928).\n\nThis is a FREE event and it is open to the public.\n\n\n\nLEARN MORE: https://barngallery.org/event/david-schneider-gallery-talk/\n\n\nAbout David Schneider Sculptor\n\n\nThe title of my 5oth Annniversary Ogunquit Art Association Showcase at Barn Gallery is 'David Schneider: Introspective Into A Life In Art." My showcase exhibition highlights 31 art works in clay\, bronze and digital collages re-imaginings- that celebrate my life as an artist. Most of the pieces are from my personal collection of cherished works.\n\n\n\n\nThe majority of art pieces in the exhibition are of fired clay and have been done over the last forty years that I have worked as a successful artist and art professor. Considering the concept of an 'Introspective" ( Intentionally Not a retrospective\,) I looked back with wonder at the serendipitous occurrences that have had lasting affects on my life. I assembled a 'memory/experience case' for this exhibition that contains old photos\, small gifts from friends and mementos that reflect my appreciation of my life's journey. Recently\, enamored by new digital and technical processes I have also been working in digital collages that combine two dimensional images and three dimensional forms.\n\nSee the entire Ogunquit Art Association interview with David Schneider: CLICK HERE!
